VcpuLimitExceeded​

An error occurred (VcpuLimitExceeded) when calling the RunInstances operation: You have requested more vCPU capacity than your current vCPU limit of 32 allows for the instance bucket that the specified instance type belongs to. Please visit http://aws.amazon.com/contact-us/ec2-request to request an adjustment to this limit.

Each graviton3 provides 64 cpus. Ensure your vCPU limit is high enough to handle the capacity

Resolution: Request vCPU capacity increase from Amazon Web Services. Select All Standard A, C, D, H, I, M, R, T, Z) Instances from Primary Instance Type.

Instance type (c7g.metal) is not supported in your requested Availability Zone​

RunInstances operation: Your requested instance type (c7g.metal) is not supported in your requested Availability Zone (us-east-1e)

GRAVITON 3's not available in all regions/azs. Ensure your AZ supports the graviton3 before continuining.

Resolution: Select an AZ that supports the Arm Graviton 3. As of the time of this document, the following regions support the c7g.metal EC2 instance types:

  • us-east-1
  • us-east-2
  • us-west-2
  • eu-west-1

AMI Not Found​

Each image has a unique image id for each region.

Resolution: Use the AWS Image Finder to select the correct image id for your region.
