VcpuLimitExceeded​

An error occurred (VcpuLimitExceeded) when calling the RunInstances operation: You have requested more vCPU capacity than your current vCPU limit of 32 allows for the instance bucket that the specified instance type belongs to. Please visit http://aws.amazon.com/contact-us/ec2-request to request an adjustment to this limit.

Each graviton4 provides 96 cpus. Ensure your vCPU limit is high enough to handle the capacity

Resolution: Request vCPU capacity increase from Amazon Web Services. Select All Standard A, C, D, H, I, M, R, T, Z) Instances from Primary Instance Type.

Instance type (c8g.metal-24xl) is not supported in your requested Availability Zone​

RunInstances operation: Your requested instance type (c8g.metal-24xl) is not supported in your requested Availability Zone (us-east-1e)

GRAVITON 4's not available in all regions/azs. Ensure your AZ supports the graviton4 before continuining.

Resolution: Select an AZ that supports the Arm Graviton 4. As of the time of this document, the following regions support the c8g.metal-24xl EC2 instance types:

  • us-east-1
  • us-east-2
  • us-west-1
  • us-west-2
  • ap-northeast-1
  • ap-northeast-2
  • ap-south-1
  • ap-south-2
  • ap-southeast-1

AMI Not Found​

Each image has a unique image id for each region.

Resolution: Use the AWS Image Finder to select the correct image id for your region.
