Subscriptions
Use of our SaaS solutions (according to our Terms of Use) is granted by license subscription. Our cloud subscription plans are based on “device-hour” usage. A device-hour is defined as active, individual virtual device use for an hour.
Subscription plans are comprised of three components:
Plan Rate is in USD unless otherwise specified and reflects the cost of device-hour use, for example, $4/device-hour. Plan Hours are monthly device-hours included in your plan, for example, a “Cloud 1250 Plan” includes 1250 device-hours per month. Burst Hours reflect device-hour usage in a month that is greater than your Plan Hours.
To calculate monthly device-hour usage, we measure individual device usage by the minute, and at the end of the month, we total them all, then round up the total to the next whole hour.
If you don’t use all of your Plan Hours in a month, they do not roll over to the next month.
If you go over your Plan Hours in a month, we call them Burst Hours, and they are charged at the same Plan Rate. In other words, there isn’t a rate increase or penalty for exceeding your monthly plan.
If you consistently exceed your monthly Plan Hours, you can contact us to change your subscription plan to one that includes more Plan Hours at a lower Plan Rate.
What is a device hour?
A device hour is one hour of device usage while the device is not off
. For example, if the device is on
, paused
, turning on
, turning off
, etc. then it is considered active
and using device hours, for which you will be billed. If you only have off
devices in your account, you will not be billed for any device hours.
